hi, i'm holly

mama to three wonderfully sarcastic, fiery kiddos who are the great loves of my life and the reason coffee has its own line item in the budget.

technology was never the master plan, but two decades later, i’m still here and still endlessly curious about systems, patterns, and how humans operate within them.

my mind makes sense of technology through sketches and messy diagrams - because "just think about it" was apparently not a feature included in my operating system.

this site

is where i share some of the doodling.

my hope is other visual learners find it useful, and people in the community engage with better explanations, a “hey you missed something”, or sharper questions that drive clarity for us all.

the goal isn't to be right - it's to get it right.

a few things i believe

  • all dogs are good dogs
  • the right playlist can change the entire day
  • nature heals the parts therapy can’t
  • snacks are a valid conflict-resolution strategy
  • a well-timed meme can absolutely be emotional support

and i believe in building useful tools.

Boots dirty

to build useful systems

we have to get our boots dirty. technology can be beautifully designed and still miss the point entirely.

to build what works, we have to understand the work: the friction, the pressures, the weight teams carry every day.
